Godly Wisdom

by Jerome Yaw Boachie-Danquah, Ghana, W. Africa

Find joy in the little things, for there are so very many of them. In every day there are countless opportunities to be joyful. Those small moments of joy and happiness will add up. They’ll keep you pointed in a positive direction. Big achievements are the result of small efforts added one by one to each other. In the same way, lives of happiness and fulfillment are built piece by piece, one small joy at a time.

Don’t be too quick to place judgments on events as they unfold. What initially seems like it might hurt you, may very well end up helping you. Life is largely what you make of it. Choose to see the possibilities for progress in each turn of events, and you’ll be able to make great progress. Instead of worrying about what has happened or what might happen, get busy working to influence what does happen. Life is great when you commit to making it so.

Select your path not because it is easy but because it is right, for you. Spend your precious time not just to pass the time, but to build meaningful value. See that in each challenge is a new way to grow stronger. Know that in each problem is an opportunity to move forward. When the results are not what you expected, that’s no reason to lower your expectations. Instead, learn from the disappointment,

Seek to be a true, sincere friend, and you’ll find that you have many good friends. Seek to provide real, honest, creative value and you’ll experience much meaningful value flowing into your life. Your attitude in every moment defines what you are seeking. And what you seek, is what you get.
You will never be successful living life comparing yourself to others. Run your own race and run at your own pace!

If you depend on some particular thing, or person, or situation for your happiness and fulfillment, you’re setting yourself up for problems. When you depend on what you cannot control, you open the door to fear, anxiety, disappointment and other negative experiences. Accept life’s richness in all its many forms, and gently let go of the dependence that would bring you down. End your dependence, and free yourself to live with authentic joy and fulfillment.

Life does not owe you anything because life has already given you everything. You owe yourself the courtesy of working to make the most of it all. Your precious, unique life connects you with all that is.
Every moment is your opportunity to more fully express your priceless legacy.

Your past history does not create your future. The choices you make right now are what create the substance of that future. Learn from your mistakes, but do not agonize over them. There is nothing you can do to change the fact that they happened, yet there is much you can do to move positively beyond them.
