Even in good times the life of pastor is a life of making sacrifices in various ways but when unable to hold church services it becomes unbearably difficult for some. Such is the present day life of the pastors in India. They all depend on tithes and offerings to feed their families and when income is cut off the only solution is to pray, hope and wait. Recently we were informed by Rev. Cornelius that many pastors were unable to provide for their families and were crying out to God for help. Well, God heard their prayers and yesterday that help came. A young lady who is a missionary to India has temporarily returned home in the U.S. because of the COVID-19 virus. She heard of our ministry through our granddaughter Bailey, who is on a missions trip to the Philippines. The young lady gave a generous offering yesterday and in just a few hours the pastors were receiving food purchased with her offering. Below are photos of the presentation as the pastors gathered at Grace Children’s Home to receive their much needed gift.
To God be the glory for all He has done. Not even COVID-19 can stop miracles from happening. Consider how the prayers of the pastors were answered: A young missionary from India heard about our ministry from her friend in the Philippines and then contacted us in Iowa, USA to see how she could help. Some may say it’s just a coincidence but I call it a miracle.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” . . . Isaiah 55:8-9
