You might ask, “Saved from what?” Are you saved from the eternal fires of Hell? You may answer, “There is no Hell”. You may also state that you believe in God and so that qualifies you to go to Heaven. Or, maybe you attend a church but that still does not answer the question, “Are you Saved?” and you have never been asked this question. Being “Saved” is not a matter of just believing in God or going to church. It’s accepting salvation from the One Who has earned it for you. His Name is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Listen friend, Hell is real. If there is a Heaven, there is also a Hell. You see, there is more to you than a body and a mind. There are three parts to your being. First, you are a spirit, then a soul (mind) and then a body. When you die your body goes to a grave and wastes away but your spirit and soul continue for eternity. Where you spend that eternity is the question. When a body dies the soul and spirit leave it and go to one of two places: Heaven or Hell. Heaven is a place of great joy and happiness, but hell is a place of torment and suffering. Both places are forever, but no one can pray you out of hell. Being saved is a matter of choice. A choice you make now while you are living. You must admit that you are a sinner and unable to save yourself from Hell. Then just accept what God has already done so you can be saved. He has taken care of all the other details for you. It was accomplished through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus died so you could choose where you want to spend eternity. It’s just that simple. He took your punishment, He died, was buried in a grave but he rose again! He walked away from the tomb and now is in Heaven where He waits for you. Say the following prayer and mean it in your heart and you will be saved: “Dear Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe You are the Son of God and that You died for my sins. Come into my heart and help me to live as You would have me to live. Amen.” If you said that prayer and meant it in your heart, you are now saved! Now find a church that also believes in being saved and read the Bible to learn more about the new life you are beginning. Pray and believe God hears your prayers because He really does. However, the answer to prayer is always accomplished in God’s time and not ours. Congratulations! See you in Heaven! |
Salvation Prayer: Heavenly Father, I am a sinner. I come to You now and confess with my mouth that I believe Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for my sins. I believe in my heart that He rose from the dead and now sits at Your right Hand. Forgive me for all of my past sins and help me to live the life You would have me to live. In Jesus Christ's name, Amen.
