Prison Ministry Report for July-August, 2018

(Below is the Prison Ministry Report as it was received from the office in Accra, Ghana)

REPORT ON VISIT TO CENTRAL PRISONS ON 27TH JULY & 10TH AUGUST, 2018 IN KUMASI

The meeting scheduled on the 27th July, 2018 could not take place due to renovations been carried out in the prisons.

On the 10th August, a new place was given to us to meet with the students; but could not have classes as it was an open space without connection to electricity. In all sixty (60) students turned up with Pastor Kwabena Owusu; who ministered to them, at 1:45pm

Inmates were exhorted to be like Christ and are to define Core Values. Scripture reading was taken from Matthew 6:1-24(KJB). Students were made to understand that,

  1. They do the right thing for the right reasons
  2. Pray God’s agenda, not their own
  3. The results relationship can bring; it can make or break you.
  4. Seek for eternal things, not temporal things.

Ministration came to a close at 2:50 pm and was unanimously agreed that we will meet at the same place if work on premises is not completed.

CMM shared the successful victory with inmates on the release of our brother Eric Osei Owusu by the Appeals Court. This brings to three (3), the number of inmates CMM has supported to appeal against their case and have won.

Closing prayer was said by the Elder with benediction by Pastor Kwabena Owusu. The meeting came to an end at 3:05 pm. The next meeting is on the 24th August 2018.
