After a long battle with cancer, Dr. Jerry Smith founder of Holy Spirit Ministries, Int’l., Claremore, Oklahoma, and President of Covenant Messenger Ministries Bible Schools went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2022.

The people of Ghana who came in contact with Dr. Jerry Smith would immediately fall in love with him.   We know they will never forget his friendship, his great sense of humor, his knowledge of the Bible, and most of all, his sacrificial dedication to serving his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A memorial service will be held on January 29, 2022, for Dr. Smith by Covenant Messenger Ministries and the friends he has made since his first visit in 2004.  The program for the service can be seen below.  (To be clear, the caption on the program cover says “The Burial Service of . . . ” but it is symbolic only as the actual burial service took place in the U.S.)  There will be a follow-up post about the service after it has taken place.   Please keep the Smith family in your prayers.
