In Luke, chapter 24, verses 13-27, it tells the story of two men, both followers of Christ, walking to the village of Emmaus. It was on the same day Jesus had been reported as rising from the grave, and the two men were excitedly discussing the latest reports. While they were walking, Jesus drew near and joined them. He asked what they were discussing. They didn’t recognize him and asked if he was the only one who hadn’t heard of the events in Jerusalem over the last three days. He answered them by saying, “O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?” And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he explained what all the scriptures had to say about himself.
