Step 2 – The Exchange of Weapons

After exchanging coats or robes, the two men would then exchange weapons. In doing this each man was offering the other his ability to defend himself.

Now if either man was ever in a battle with an enemy he not only had the use of his partners weapons but his partner would come to his defense to help fight the battle. The strength of each man to defend himself was always available to the other.

~ TODAY WE HAVE A BETTER COVENANT, AS PROPHESIED BY JEREMIAH 31:31 ~

IN THE NEW COVENANT:   Man has nothing to offer God in this exchange. This is all one-sided because God offers man His protection and deliverance and all man can do is accept or reject it.
