2009 – September – Man Delivered From Demonic Oppression

VENUE: WEST LEGON DATE: 22ND SEPTEMBER 2009
ACTIVITIES: PRAYER SESSION HOST: PASTOR ASARE SAMUEL AND PASTOR WILLIAM ODAME

On Tuesday 22nd September 2009, we went to Achimota Forest for our usual weekly prayer sessions.

After the session, Pastor Asare decided to visit his church members at West Legon.
On his arrival, he met some of his church members and they decided to have a prayer session. After the prayers, we met an insane man whom Pastor Asare testified of seeing on his numerous evangelism rounds. But this time round Pastor Asare felt the need to engage him

After the prayers, we met an insane man whom Pastor Asare testified of seeing on his numerous evangelism rounds.  But this time around Pastor Asare felt the need to engage him in a conversation.  Together with the church members, we prayed for him after which we turned to look at us and we assured him Jesus has saved him.  Immediately he realised the condition in which he was.

We then invited him to follow the rest of the members to the home of another member. We assured him, he has been saved by Christ and as such he would not go back to his old ways (eating from the rubbish dump, sleeping in the thick forest among others)

We gave him a clean shave.  We offered him water and allowed him to take his bath; we then gave him some food to eat.

Then came the session where we tested his sanity. We gave him verses from portions of the New Testament to read which he did accordingly from John 3:16, Colossians 1:13 and John 1:4 & 5.

In a conversation, we gathered that he hails from Cote de Voire and his name is Kwame Opoku.
He came to Ghana about four years ago. He stayed with a certain man at Kasoa, a suburb of Central Region, but moved in order to find a job.

He started by selling coconuts but not being in the right state of mind, cannot remember what
happened to him.

The next day Pastor Asare went back to verify and check his state of mind. He heard from the
neighborhood that he requested for water to wash and brush his teeth.

We collected his old belongings and burnt them. He now stays with one of the church members and now lives a normal life.
