2008 – January 29 – February 1 – Pokuase – House To House Evangelism

Outreach Report to Pokuase – Jan. 29-Feb.1, 2008
VENUE : POKUASE
DATE : 29TH JAN. – 1ST FEBRUARY, 2008
ACTIVITY : HOUSE TO HOUSE EVANGELISM
THE TEAM : Ps. Willie (Leader), Ps. Asare and Five students

The team arrived at Pokuase at 9.00am. Pokuase is a suburb of Accra which is 19 miles from the office.  The team was grouped into three and each group took to different directions to spread the gospel.  The first group included Ps. Asare, Osei Berimah and Frank Narh.  The second group was Ps. Willie and Brother Ben with Bro.Enoch and Elder John in the third group. The first group was able to reach eight people while one man rejected them. They were one female and six males and received us wholeheartedly. The Team met a herbalist, who is said to be a witness. He gave us some encouragements and gave us a testimony concerning his life and how the Lord is using him to be of help to others. He said when he was at the age of 17 or 19, he was promised to be sent abroad by a white-man but within some few weeks, he was attacked by a sudden seizure which caused this plan to no avail. But he thanked God for using him this time to be of a help to others.

The second group also interacted with 6 people. Who were already Christians but two of them were backsliders. They were encouraged to wake up and be on fire for the Lord. A lady also received an instant healing through the touch of the Holy Spirit. She was relieved from a severe headache which she had suffered for the past three days. A young man was also rededicated after receiving the message.  His dream is to enroll in a Bible college to equip him in the Lord.

The third group spoke to twenty-one people of which majority of them were believers.  So the team took the time to encourage them in the Lord.  An ex-soldier gave a testimony about the Lord.  He said without any hesitation that there is nothing impossible when the Lord is on your side.  All the people there were encouraged to hold on to the Lord.  For this reason, they requested for frequent visits.  In all, we reached out to thirty-five people.

On the next day Ps. Asare taught two women who also requested for regular visits and teachings by establishing a fellowship in the community because they found the message to be spiritually rich and clear.  The team also spoke to nine people who were all believers, so we encouraged them in the Lord.  This included a woman who first refused to listen to us but later gave us her attention.

On Friday, which was the last day, the team spoke to three people who gave their lives to Christ. The team spent a lot of time with many of visitors sharing and also teaching them.  The majority of them were calling for regular visitation.  Some said the team’s visit has helped them to clear some doubts and misconceptions which were baffling their minds for quite a long time now.

In conclusion, the team spoke to seventy-three people and had seven new converts by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen.
