Pastor Nathan Little ~ 1929 – 2023
The ministry and family of Val Black are deeply saddened at the passing of Pastor Nathan Little. Pastor Nathan was our Pastor, mentor, traveling companion to Africa, and fishing friend. In fact, it was his encouragement that birthed this ministry when it began in 1989. Pastor Nathan was a "preacher's preacher" and was always ready to share Jesus with anyone. One of his favorite sayings was, "Make a friend and save a soul". Nathan lived by those words and one day when God opens His books it will be learned that many salvations can be credited to Nathan's witnessing to ...

The Covenants of God by Val Black
Recently, I have begun a series of teachings on God's covenants. It is my belief that with an understanding of the true significance of the covenants in the Bible, a Christian will gain a new perception of the Word and even develop a closer relationship with God. I speak from experience because that happened to me many years ago. That is also the reason I named our ministry Covenant Messenger Ministries because I realized covenants were the foundation of the Bible with some having been fulfilled and others yet to be fulfilled. Here is my reasoning: Malachi 3:1 says this, ...

Your and My Purpose in Life
Dear friends of C.M.M. Just a word to let you know that all of us connected to the operation of this ministry are very grateful for your support through your offerings and prayers. Every person on earth has a purpose, sometimes multiple purposes, to fulfill during their lifetime. Christians must rely on the Holy Spirit to guide them in this process. God has placed a sense of purpose in my life to support devout Christians in Ghana to win others to Jesus Christ in that nation and more. Additionally, it includes Rev. Sikila Cornelius' ministry in India, a man who has ...

Outreach to Kwanyako – January 18-20, 2023
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ! On Wednesday, January 20, 2023, the C.M.M. Evangelism Team traveled to Kwanyako in the Central Region of Ghana and stayed to minister until the following Friday. The people of Kwanyako are fishermen and they have a particular festival in which many of them celebrate by drinking alcohol. We happened to arrive at the time of this festival and witnessed several young men and women celebrating this festival and getting drunk. It breaks our hearts to see young people created in the image of God destroying their lives with alcohol. The perishing of our ...

God Is Changing India – One Person At A Time
Although Hindu politicians and other government officials rule the country at every level, from the national to the local, the Holy Spirit is still actively working in India, to change it . . . . . one person at a time. Any attempt to convert others to Christianity will result in imprisonment, physical beatings, and/or death. But that does not stop some who are driven by the call on their life to share the Gospel regardless of the consequences. Such is the like of the founder of Grace Children's Home, Rev. Sikila Cornelius, and the pastors who work with him ...

Speaking Out About These Immoral Times
There are times when I feel the need to speak out about the path this nation has followed for several years and what God has placed on my heart. This is one of those times. Whether you agree or disagree is not my concern. I feel compelled to say it and let the chips fall where they may. So, with that said, here goes . . . . . This nation is in serious trouble internally and the majority of the population is only concerned over the price of gas and the increasing inflation, and rightly so. But there are ...

Christian Pastor Is Beaten For Preaching the Gospel
Just today we received a short video from India of a Christian pastor who was pulled out of his church yesterday and beaten for preaching the Gospel. In India, where the national and local governments are dominated by Hindus, this is not uncommon. If such an incident was to be reported to the authorities it would be of no use and might even provoke greater anger, which would result in a worse outcome. Pastor Cornelius explains that is the reason they plea for assistance from outside of India. Practically no support exists from within, either financially or spiritually. So, please ...

The Priest Who Found Christ
A note from Val: To my Catholic friends, I was born and raised in the Catholic Church, and many times in my youth I prayed to Mary, St. Christopher, St. Anthony, St. Philomena, and others, but I was never taught to go directly to Jesus in prayer. Looking back, I remember nuns who came to church to teach catechism. There was one nun in particular who was so sweet and pure in her mannerisms that I, at the age of about 10, found myself falling in love with her. She would talk about heaven as if she was a frequent visitor ...

Important Gifts For The Orphans – November 2022
Here in the U.S., we take so much for granted. For instance, when was the last time you went without a toothbrush and/or toothpaste? How about soap? For many in India, these items are not taken for granted. In fact, you could say they are considered to be items of luxury, available only to the "rich". Thanks to many of you, this ministry is able to continue to feed the orphans and pay the staff but sometimes God provides a little extra, and we are able to give more to the orphanage. That happened recently. We received a little above ...

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. On Tuesday 4th October 2022, the CMM Outreach Team of Ghana traveled to Cedikope in the Eastern Region of Ghana, near the Kwahu Afram Plains. Due to climate change, we have begun experiencing unusual rainfalls. We got to Cedikope at 12 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. It started to rain then and continued until Thursday. The rain made it very difficult for us to move about to witness to people. Nevertheless, we began evangelizing from the 6th to the 8th of October 2022. We moved from house to house, street to street, ...

Mosquito Nets for Grace Children’s Home – September, 2022
It has been a while since we posted news from India so here is the latest: August 2022 - The Lord blessed Grace Children's Home in India with mosquito nets through this ministry. This time of year, mosquitoes are very thick, so mosquito nets will make sleeping at night more comfortable. Using the nets will also help prevent the kids from contracting malaria, a disease spread by mosquitoes. Rev. Cornelius messaged us to say the kids were thrilled to get the nets, which is obvious from the smiles on their faces in the photos. Each net can cover two children ...

Thanks to all who give into this ministry. We wire your offerings directly to Rev. Cornelius' bank account as soon as possible. Rev. Cornelius provides hot meals in the evenings to over 90 children from poor families in addition to the orphans at Grace Children's ...
