Building A Church & Going For Water in India

We were recently sent photos from Pastor Cornelius of workers building a church in a Dalit village.   As you can see, it is a rather crude structure.  No electricity, no running water, no air conditioner, etc., etc., but the Glory of God is just as much present in this church as it is in any majestic cathedral with gold trimmings.  Probably even more so.  Other photos depict women going for water, sometimes walking great distances and carrying the load on their shoulders or head.   There is a great need for wells, especially in the extremely poor Dalit villages.   The cost ...

India Calling

In our support of men and women of God who daily work towards helping the poor and needy, who willingly share the Gospel and bring others into the Kingdom of Heaven, we are committed to helping as much as we are able, and we call for others who feel as we do, that laying up treasures in Heaven is thousands of times better than laying up material wealth on earth, to respond with prayer but financial help too. There are many needs, but specific ones were given to us, in particular, by Rev. Cornelius, founder of Grace Children’s Home in ...

Pastor Cornelius Baptizing Converts

On November 27, 2019, Pastor Sikala Cornelius traveled on a motorbike to a very remote village of Dalit people and shared the Gospel.   As stated in a previous report, Dalits are the lowest of the caste system of India.  But as Pastor Cornelius, a Dalit himself, once stated, "There is no caste system in the Kingdom of God". Numerous people accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  In the photos below you see Pastor Cornelius leading a group of converts to a river where he baptizes them.  Pastor Cornelius says the people need Bibles to grow in the Lord.  ...

Dalit Village Receives Bibles After 3 years & Orphans Are Fed

On November 17, 2019, this ministry was able to wire a special offering to Rev. Cornelius in India.   We told Rev. Cornelius to use the offering as he is led by the Holy Spirit.   For three years a remote village of Dalits have been waiting for someone to bring them Bibles so they can grow in the Lord.   Rev. Cornelius purchased Bibles and traveled to the village to deliver them to the people.  The villagers were very happy to receive them.  While there Rev. Cornelius also baptized some new converts. Then Rev. Cornelius bought rice and ingredients for curry (a ...

From Rev. Cornelius in India: Widows Receive Bread, Dalits Receive Jesus – From Pastor Raj, 37 People Saved!

Reports are coming in daily from Pastor Sikala Cornelius in one part of India and also from Pastor Raj and his father, Rev. Dinesh, in another part of India.   Pastor Cornelius reports that he was able to bless several widows with loaves of bread.  As he explains, in India many of the widows are rejected by their families and put out of home to survive on their own.  They have very few people to help with shelter, food, and clothing.   You can imagine how much of a blessing it was to receive free loaves of bread.   Pastor Cornelius and others ...

An appeal for the Dalits, the oppressed, downtrodden and crushed ones of India

Although 3000 years old, the caste system in India is still in existence today but in milder forms.  The four primary castes are Brahmin, the priests; Kshatriya, warriors and nobility; Vaisya, farmers, traders and artisans; and Shudra, tenant farmers, and servants.  Some people were born outside of (and below) the caste system.  They are called "untouchables" or Dalits—"the oppressed, downtrodden, crushed ones." Like lepers in the Old Testament, the life of a Dalit was and in parts of India still is, very difficult to say the least.  In the past a Dalit was considered unclean and was not permitted to ...

Evangelism in India – October 2019

We recently announced that Covenant Messenger Ministries has been led of the Lord to support a young man and his father in India.   As we said before, their names and exact location are being withheld from these reports for their safety.  Persecution of Christians in India is growing.   The controlling government is Hindu, which complicates matters even more.   In view of this and in order to identify ones we are talking about in the reports, I'm giving the son the name of Raj and the father, Rev. Dinesh.  Almost every day we receive a report from Raj and his father ...

India is Hungry . . . . For God

Announcement!

We are excited about finding a brother-in-the-Lord in India who is fulfilling the Great Commission, working alongside his father, a pastor.   It's unfortunate, but we cannot give their names or location in India where they are working as the government there is Hindu and frowns on support of Christian ministries.    Money transfer agencies such as Moneygram, Xoom, etc., will not accept transfers in support of Christians in India.  We tried several agencies but every one of them refused to transfer our support from the U.S. to India.   By the grace of God we finally found one that was willing ...
