A New Bible School Opens – July 2021

A note to all the friends and supporters of Covenant Messenger Ministries:   Most of you know that in the past this ministry has concentrated on evangelism and the establishment of Bible schools throughout Ghana.   Then along came the pandemic.  The pandemic did not stop the CMM team from evangelizing, but they wore masks and followed the protocols as outlined by the Government of Ghana.   God's Hand of protection prevented any from getting sick.   To our regret, the pandemic made it necessary to end the Bible schools.  In addition, the curriculum we were using for the school ...

Feeding the Homeless in India – July 2021

India is still a developing nation and although its economy is growing, it has around 84 million people living in extreme poverty. When they are able, Rev. Cornelius and a few volunteers go to the streets to provide food for the homeless Dalits, the "untouchable class" in India.  On this occasion they prepared plates containing rice, curry, a hard-boiled egg, banana, and a bag of water for each of the homeless people they encountered on the streets.  We thank those of you who have given so generously for this cause.    Proverbs 19:17, "He who has pity on the poor ...

Evangelizing In India – July 2021

Rev. Cornelius and volunteers are keeping busy these days fulfilling the Great Commission by evangelizing the lost and feeding the hungry in their homeland of India.  India has always had more than its share of homeless and hungry people but in this pandemic which is still taking lives, the number of people needing support has increased dramatically.   Much prayer is needed for India during these difficult times. Below are photos of an assistant to Rev. Cornelius appropriately named "Moses" and his wife, Mary, as they share tracts and the Gospel with people of one village.  In the process, 23 people ...

Rice for Pastors in India – June 2021

In June about 50 pastors in India were helped by providing each of them with a 22 lb. bag of rice.  The pastors have been struggling to support their families but because of the pandemic, they are not able to conduct regular church services and consequently, are not receiving tithes and wages.   Our many thanks to one anonymous individual in particular who was led to give towards this need.  Because of this one offering, prayers were answered and many people were blessed.   Distribution of the rice was done over the period of two days as most of the pastors ...

People Suffering From Hunger Are Helped – May & June 2021

During the months of May and June, 2021, this ministry has helped and is continuing to help to feed the poor in and around the area of Grace Prayer Church in India.   The pandemic is continuing and people are suffering, if not from Covid-19, then from hunger because of the lockdown.  Rev. Cornelius and a few volunteers prepare and distribute the food on a regular basis.    On top of the problem of Covid pandemic and lockdown, some villages were destroyed by flooding.  Rev. Cornelius and volunteers were able to feed some of the people there who have lost their ...

Outreach to Assin Asempanaye – June 29, 2021

Greetings in the Name above every name, Jesus! We give God the Glory for His mercies and protection. Always granting us traveling mercies and turning the heart of those who don't know him to Accept His as Lord and Savior. On Tuesday, June 29, 2021, we traveled to Assin Asempanaye in the Central Region of Ghana.  Asempanaye means Good News in the Ghanaian language. We traveled over 4 hours for 205 kilometers (128 miles).  We arrived at midday and rested a while then started our evangelism activities. As we ministered by sharing tracts and explaining the message on the tracts ...

Outreach to Gbedi, Ghana W. Africa – June 23, 2021

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! We left on Wednesday, June 23rd for Gbedi in the Volta Region of Ghana.  Gbedi is a small village where Mt. Afajdato is located near the border of Togo. Mt. Afajdato is the highest mountain in Ghana and it attracts many visitors. The months of June and July are the rainy season in Ghana which makes traveling a little more difficult so it took us 2 1/2 hours of driving to reach Gbedi. When we arrived to our destination, we evangelized the lost by preaching, sharing tracts, and explaining ...

Outreach to Ehiamankyene in Ghana– June 1, 2021

(A note from Val:  “How does revival begin?  It begins with each individual Christian.   Evangelist Billy Sunday was once asked how you start a revival. He took a piece of chalk, drew a circle on the floor, stepped into the circle, and said, “You pray this:  Lord start a revival, and start it in this circle!”  In these latter days, there is so much evil, so much despair, so much agony, and so much ignorance of Jesus, of the Word of God and its Author the Holy Spirit, that people are turning to drugs, alcohol, radical ideologies, and unfortunately, to suicide, ...

15 Families Receive A 22 LB. Bag of Rice Each

On May 21, Rev. Cornelius and volunteers visited a village that has been suffering from hunger during the Covid lockdown.   One bag weighing 22 lbs. was given to each family totaling 15 families.  We were sent these photos below.  With all the smiling faces we had to share them with you.   Thanks to everyone who helped make this possible. (By the way, one 22 lb. bag of rice costs just $5.50 and will feed a family of three for one week.)          ...

Feeding the Hungry On A Street In India – May 2021

In May, 2021, Rev. Cornelius and volunteers took cooked rice to a street and fed the hungry.  Most of them were mothers with children and also widows who have no support.  As the pot of rice came close to being empty, several children clamored around the man begging for some food.  As you can see in the video, they were truly hungry.    Covenant Messenger Ministries is very blessed to be able to support Rev. Cornelius, his orphanage and many other projects such as wells for water, teaching women to sew, feeding the hungry, and most of all, evangelizing the ...

Outreach to Ahoniahoniaso – May 12-14, 2021

Calvary greetings in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ! By the Grace of Almighty God, we left Accra on the 12th of May 2021 and drove to Ahoniahoniaso in the Fanteakwa District, the Eastern Region of Ghana.  We drove for 3 hours 45 minutes because the road is in a very bad state. Although difficult, by the grace of God we were able to evangelize during a heavy rain all day Wednesday, the 12th of May.   We shared Gospel tracts and explained the messages on the tracts. We stayed until Friday and God led us to bring the Gospel to ...

Smiling Faces

Although conditions for the poor in the streets are bleak, the children and widows of Grace Children's Home are blessed with food.   As you can see in many of the photos, the smiling faces reflect the joy of being able to wake up each morning knowing there will be food for the day.  Of course, there are days without food so those are days of fasting and praying for God's provision.   Thanks to you, there were smiles on their faces on this particular day in May!   God bless you for considering the poor, the orphans, the homeless, and the widows ...

Feeding the Hungry on the Streets of India

The youth of Pastor Cornelius's church in India recently went to the streets to pass out 250 packets of food to the poor.   Thousands are dying of covid.  Even if they could afford a doctor there are no beds available in the hospitals.   Many are unable to earn a wage because of a 20 hour lockdown so they go hungry.    It costs 50 Indian rupees, about 68 cents, for one packet of food that feed one person for a whole day.  Please consider giving something to help feed the poor in India.    Just $5 will feed 7 people.  ...

Outreach to Yaw Tano (Near the Volta Region of Ghana) – May 5, 2021

Another great report from the Outreach Team of C.M.M.!   These men are dedicated to evangelism and they are blessed to see many receive salvation each time they venture into the cities or small villages in the rural areas.   It seems the danger of the pandemic has given many an incentive to question where they would spend eternity after this life on earth.   The Team is gifted with wisdom to explain the realities of Heaven and Hell, as well as the ability to answer questions asked by people.   We thank God for each and every person who gives into the ministry ...

600 Eggs Distributed to the Poor.

Today, May 3, 2021, Rev. Cornelius blessed several children with protein in the form of eggs.  We take eggs for granted in America but to the poor in India, the Dalits, eggs are a blessing and a rarity.   Thanks to those who have a burden on their hearts for the poor, we were able to pass  enough money to Rev. Cornelius to purchase 600 eggs.  They were bagged six to a bag.  That is one egg per day for a week for each child.    Were they appreciated?  Just look at the smiles on their faces. Thanks to all who ...

April Blessings for Grace Children’s Home – India 2021

It is always a blessing to receive photos from Rev. Cornelius in India.   This time we received photos of the children of Grace Children's Home.   It was a great time for everyone including the children, the staff, and some widows who rely on the Home for food.   We were able to send a little extra support money to the home which permitted Rev. Cornelius to purchase soft drinks for the children.  You can see the smiles on their faces.   Rev. Cornelius has a great heart for the children and also for people in general. I am always impressed seeing the ...

Church Construction in India – April 2021

In a remote village in India a faithful congregation of poor villagers dig out the foundation for a new church by hand.  No running water is available nor do they have a water well.  Water is carried to the location.   They are asking for some financial help to be able to finish construction.  Materials needed are cement, tin for a roof, and especially a well for water.  Click here to see a short video of the work in progress:  https://youtu.be/kYd0jn9QUj8 If you feel led to donate to help them with purchasing materials click on the "Support Us" link at the top-right ...

Outreach to Bodan – April 8, 2021

PRAISE, PRAISE, PRAISE GOD!  All things work together for those who love GOD. We traveled about 2 hours and 45 minutes to Bodan in the Eastern Region of Ghana.  It was a great evangelism experience for us.  People gladly accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior as we shared Gospel tracts, preached, and explained the messages on the tracts. We shared over 600 tracts and there were an estimated 181 souls who accepted Jesus as Savior.  There was another 18 who rededicated their lives to Christ and one healing. We thank God for saving these precious souls.  We bless you and all CMM ...

Pokrom means a “town of the sea”.  We travelled about 3 hours from Accra to Pokrom.  When we arrived we shared as many tracts as we could and preached the Good News of our risen Lord Jesus Christ!  As usual, we followed the pandemic protocols by ...
